Salary: $50k - $65k based on experience

Ignite Visibility, a fast-growing award-winning digital marketing company based in San Diego, is looking for an experienced organic Social Media Manager to join our team. Our Social Media Manager will handle clients on our franchising side. A knowledge of franchising would be beneficial but is not necessary for the role. We’re looking for a creative, forward-thinking, and organized individual who will assist in managing anywhere from 5-8 clients and their social media marketing needs across various platforms. The main goals for the Social Media Manager are to grow the audience of the social media pages, build brand awareness, and ultimately increase leads for our clients. The individual will work cross-collaboratively with internal teams such as SEO, Content, FSAMs, and Account Managers to maximize each client's ROI. This individual would be responsible for researching, creating, and publishing organic social media posts for clients as outlined in their contract. Additional responsibilities would include handling social-related administrative needs for clients. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute organic social media strategies and campaigns for assigned franchise clients
  • Research, strategize, plan, curate, draft, and publish engaging social content on a weekly and/or monthly basis depending on client needs
  • Maintain knowledge of how content will be optimized by social platform and intended audience
  • Perform competitor research and analyze the competitive landscape for clients
  • Track client approval process to ensure content is scheduled and published on the correct date/time
  • Create and optimize social media network pages for clients when needed
  • Manage client accounts in our posting platform including new location creation, linking/relinking networks, adding users, custom fields, etc.
  • Monitor linked social pages and posting errors in the posting platform
  • Host webinars and training sessions (both in groups and 1:1) with clients regarding social best practices, as well as deep dives into our social posting platform
  • Meet with clients on a regular basis 
  • Is a resource for Franchisee social media-related questions and issues
  • Be a strategic partner for our clients - constantly researching and finding ways to improve their social presence 
  • Be able to differentiate messaging, voice, target audience, etc., between client industries and types
  • Be able to understand major social networks and how to gain access for posting, page optimization, and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot network issues with clients and franchises (i.e. Facebook restrictions, Instagram linking issues, Meta Identity Verification, etc.)
  • Analyze and report on social media activity on a regular basis to highlight successes, diagnose problems, and identify new opportunities
  • Stay current with social media trends and tools, both in general and in industries related to clients and their competitors
  • Create engaging and professional visuals that reflect clients and their brands
  • Meet project deadlines and keep track of all details on project status and next steps. Be able to report that information when requested
  • Ability to communicate rapidly and effectively with all parties involved in projects
  • Have a drive to continually learn and grow in knowledge and skill of social media marketing
  • Work with vendors to ensure we’re utilizing the newest features, troubleshoot platform issues, and report on new capabilities for clients
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of organic social media

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 4+ professional social media account management and strategy experience
  • Minimum 2+ years professional experience in an agency setting
  • Experience managing social campaigns and strategies
  • Experiences using social media scheduling platforms, social listen tools (Sprout Social etc.), Google suite applications, and design tools such as Adobe, Canva, or similar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic SEO and content knowledge preferred
  • Copywriting/creative writing experience preferred
  • Google Analytics certified preferred
  • BS degree in PR, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications preferred.
  • Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organization skills
  • Familiarity with social media ads
  • Knowledge of digital PR best practices
