Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity seeks experienced Special Education professionals to support K-12 students in a dedicated school setting in Putney, VT. The contract position runs immediately through the current school year, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Candidates will work with diverse caseloads ranging from elementary to high school students within a supportive supervisory framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored special education instruction and support to students in grades 6-12 or elementary level, depending on the role.
• Manage individual education plans (IEPs), monitor progress, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide case management services for a hybrid caseload focused on elementary students.
• Engage in communication with families and staff to promote positive student outcomes.
• Participate in remote interview and onboarding processes, including collaboration with special education directors.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Vermont Special Education teaching license preferred; provisional licensing may be considered.
• Experience working with K-12 special education students, including middle and high school settings.
• Ability to manage a full-time caseload effectively, demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills.
• Comfort with virtual interview formats and digital collaboration tools.
• Passion for supporting diverse learners and fostering inclusive educational environments.
