Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-semester, cross-categorical special education teaching opportunity is fully virtual, serving K-12 students within a growing online academy. Two contract positions are available, providing the flexibility and unique experience of delivering specialized instruction entirely online.

Location: Virtual Academy (serving students in the Saint Paul, MN area)
Position Duration: ASAP through June 4, 2026
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Number of Positions: 2 (Virtual Contract)
Student Population: K-12 special education students with a diverse range of needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities across multiple categories, addressing academic and behavioral goals
• Deliver all services virtually, utilizing digital tools to engage and support students effectively
• Collaborate with families, therapists, and other educational professionals to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Adapt and modify curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring compliance with state and federal special education regulations
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of interventions and outcomes

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching Credential in Special Education, with certification in one or more areas such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Early Childhood, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, or an Academic & Behavioral Strategist License (optional)
• Experience working with cross-categorical special education populations
• Ability to deliver instruction and related services effectively in a remote/virtual environment
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
• Commitment to supporting students academic and social-emotional development
