Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for special education teaching positions within a K-12 school located in Wilmington, VT. The roles are open immediately for the current school year on a contract basis, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. These positions include two special education teaching roles serving grades 6 through 12, and one hybrid case manager role focused on elementary students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs from middle through high school.
• Manage caseloads effectively while collaborating with educators, families, and support staff.
• Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and document instructional plans.
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate various disabilities and promote student success.
• Participate in virtual meetings and professional development sessions as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid Vermont Special Education teaching license preferred; provisional licensing may be pursued with district support.
• Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility and dedication to meet the needs of students during the school year.

Location & Schedule:Wilmington, VT one school assigned with a 37.5 hour workweek. The middle and high school special education roles are based at the secondary level, while the hybrid case manager works with elementary students.
