Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Support K-12 students in a full-time Special Education teaching role focused on delivering tailored instructional strategies within a structured school environment. This leave contract position begins immediately and extends through March 2, 2026, with a possibility for extension pending evaluation in late February. The location within Arvada, CO will be provided upon placement.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Education License with Generalist Endorsement (5-21) required.
- Professional Teacher License must explicitly reflect the Special Education Generalist endorsement.
- Travelers, substitute, temporary, interim, or provisional licenses are not accepted unless the corresponding professional license is currently in the application process with verifiable proof.
- Demonstrated expertise in Specially Designed Instruction and alternative standards.
- Deep understanding of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and collaborative team processes.
- Strong experience with instructional practices and strategies tailored to diverse learner needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Special Education curriculum aligned with student IEP goals.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support student growth.
- Employ specialized instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain effective communication with families and staff.
Additional Details:
- This is a 40-hour per week full-time position.
- The role requires on-site presence; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.
