Senior Project Manager – Federal Construction
Location: Charlotte, NC | U.S. Citizenship Required
An established infrastructure and services firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex federal-sector construction projects, with a focus on the nuclear industry. This role is ideal for a seasoned PM with a strong foundation in EPC or Design/Build environments, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to deliver mission-critical projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Federal Services, you'll serve as the point of accountability for assigned projects—ensuring operational excellence across safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive project execution in compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Develop and maintain detailed schedules and budgets; oversee scope and change management
Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors across engineering, construction, procurement, safety, and project controls
Lead performance monitoring, team development, and resource allocation
Foster strong relationships with client stakeholders through transparent and proactive communication
Support proposal development, work execution planning, and RFP response
What You Bring:
U.S. citizenship and eligibility for DOD or DOE security clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
15+ years of project management experience, including at least 2–3 years in federal or nuclear projects
Experience managing complex Design/Build or EPC projects
Strong working knowledge of project controls, financial oversight, and field execution
Excellent leadership, organizational, and negotiation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools; strong written and verbal communication
PMP and OSHA 30 certification preferred
