Met-Con, Inc., a rapidly growing structural steel fabrication and erection company, is seeking a full-time Structural Steel Welder for our Cocoa, Florida location. Job Description:

This position is responsible for welding structural steel in our fabrication shop. Products fabricated in our shop include building structures, and miscellaneous components. A successful candidate will have a welding experience with vertical and overhead welds.

• Welding structural steel parts as specified per drawings and marked up weld symbols
• Obtain and maintain the required welding certification(s)
• Assure structural components are welded correctly with visual inspection
• Safely operate overhead cranes, air arc, grinder and magnetic drill and any other required tools of the trade
• Communicate up and down the line to ensure quality and completeness
• Assure work is completed in a safe manner, while following all required safety policies
• Maintain good housekeeping, not limited to cleaning, trash scrap removal and other production related jobs

General Requirements:

• Applicant will be required to complete a weld test
• Minimum 2 years' experience in steel fabrication
• Experience operating overhead cranes
• 2G/3G certification preferred
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required
