Volt is immediately hiring a Structural Welder in Ventura, Ca!

As a Structural Welder you will:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Prepare materials and set up welding equipment.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on various metals.
- Assemble and weld metal structures and components.
- Inspect and test welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time.
- Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues as they arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior welders.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and project managers.
Requirements for the job:
- AWS D1.1 Certification is Must!
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in structural welding.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in various conditions.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate welding equipment and tools safely.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.
This is a Full-Time 1st Shift Opportunity.
Pay Rate: $21-28/hr
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
