Job Description

Job Description Plans, lays out, positions, aligns, and fits together fabricated parts of structural metal products.Welds, tacks and assembles together metal components of products such as modules, structural steel, pipe racks and plate welding with electric arc-welding equipment by performing the following duties. Responsibilities
  • Read isometric drawings and determine which specifications to use.
  • Set up and maintain welding machines and associated equipment for welding.
  • Inspect and operate all power tools associated with welding in a safe and productive manner.
  • Weld flat, vertical and overhead positions.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in a team environment.
  • Perform work in a safe manner that meets company and client standards.
  • Identify hazardous or unsafe situations and communicate to others.
  • Have the ability to adapt to changing work and environmental conditions.
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
  • Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent or ten (10) years Structural Welder/Fitter experience will be considered.
  • Minimum one (1) years directly related Welder experience.
  • Must be able to pass structural welding test flat, vertical and overhead.
  • Knowledge of industrial construction and characteristics of all equipment and functions related to the position.
  • Must bring own basic hand tools to job site. List of required tools provided by NANA Construction at point of hire.
  • Driver's license and acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under vehicle insurance policy preferred.
