Overview Student Support - PAES Lab Coordinator role at Genesee Education Consultant Services (GECS) Location: Michigan School for the Deaf, Flint, Michigan, United States Type: Up to 10 hours weekly Description The PAES Lab is a hands-on transition activity where students who are 14-26 years old step into a simulated job as an employee and the PAES Lab Coordinator is a teacher aide who works under the supervision of the MSD Transition Coordinator. A successful PAES Lab is staffed with an individual who believes that students are capable of performing above and beyond their current expectations and what traditional testing has revealed about them. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to communicate in American sign language (ASL) required Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff Ability to support student problem solving, technology, and organizational needs of 3-5 students at one time is required Ability to multi-task is required Consistent attendance is integral to the success of the PAES Lab Essential Functions Work collaboratively with the MSD Transition Coordinator Participate in required training associated with supervision and implementation of PAES Lab Serve in the role of “PAES Lab Coordinator/Supervisor” where students are “employees” Manage equipment/materials inventory for the 264 PAES jobs Monitor supplies and job box contents Monitor assessment procedures conducted by all PAES Lab employees (students) Oversee PAES-Scan Set Up on mobile device and web applications Oversee use of PAES assessment reports for transition planning Reports To Special Education Supervisor and Transition Coordinator Work Day / Week Up to 10 hours weekly Starting Date August 25, 2025 Compensation Negotiable Seniority level Entry level Employment type Internship Job function Research, Analyst, and Information Technology Industries Education Administration Programs #J-18808-Ljbffr Genesee Education Consultant Services (GECS)
