Title: Pathology Assistant
Location: Louisville, KY
Contract Length: 13-weeks
Local or travel: Travel, but open to local
Shift: Mon-Fri 10:00am – 6:30pm; no weekends, no on calls
Responsibilities / Details:
• Academic Medical Center in downtown Louisville
• New Heart Hospital with advanced heart care treatment
• Accredited chest pain center providing comprehensive 24/7 STEMI heart attack care and treatment
• The first in Kentucky to receive the Chest Pain Center Primary PCI and Resuscitation Accreditation from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC), an Institute of the American College of Cardiology.
• Noted for numerous medical firsts in Kentucky, the nation and the world, Jewish Hospital is the site of the nation's first four-hand transplants, first kidney transplant in 1964, the first open-heart surgery in 1965, the first heart transplant in 1984, and the first-hand transplant in 1999.
• The world's first and second successful AbioCor™ Implantable Replacement Heart transplant, and more recently, the nation's second and third CARMAT Aeson® total artificial heart transplants - one of which was the world's first successful transplant ever performed in a female patient

Experience:
• EMR: Cerner
• Equipment: Bone Saw, Grossing Stations, Cyrostat
• 3+ years of PA experience
• Complex case mix
• Willingness to be flexible
