Responsible for safely transporting and delivering products or materials in liquid, loose, or packaged form, while abiding by all state and local traffic laws. Key Responsibilities Always maintain conscientiousness for safety, while driving as well as performing all other duties Full compliance with all FMCSA/DOT regulations and other Company policies and procedures as applicable Haul, load, and handle products as assigned while maintaining efficiencies, such as fuel and best hauling and loading practices Inspects truck for defects before, during, and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition Obtains schedule of load times and locations for the day and drives truck to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skills Must be able to back up and maneuver in and around tight areas Maintains electronic driver log according to DOTregulations Regularly inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water Makes truck and/or trailer available for scheduled maintenanceTypical Education High School Diploma or General Education (GED) CDL Truck Driver schoolRelevant Experience Must be at least 21 years of age due to travel requirements, or 18 years of age to operate solely in intrastate capacity only. Must have a current DOT Medical Certification Must meet DOTqualifications Must accurately and timely complete company and DOT required formsRequired Certifications Must have a valid Class A CDL with proper endorsements and a valid DOT Medical CertificationOther InformationPHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
