About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Merchant Banking in the Digital Entertainment Sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the execution of M&A, private placement, and strategic advisory mandates, from the initial pitch to the final close. This role involves building and managing relationships with key stakeholders in the digital entertainment ecosystem, including founders, executives, and institutional investors. The VP will also be involved in developing and reviewing financial models, valuation analyses, and various transaction materials, as well as conducting in-depth industry research and market analysis across gaming, streaming, virtual worlds, and other emerging verticals. Additionally, the role includes mentoring and guiding junior bankers, collaborating with senior leadership on deal sourcing, and representing the firm at industry events as a subject matter expert in digital entertainment finance. Applicants for the VP position should have 4-8 years of experience in investment banking, with a strong preference for those with a background in digital media, gaming, or tech sectors. A demonstrated track record in transaction execution and client management is essential, as is a deep understanding of M&A, capital markets, and strategic advisory processes. The role requires strong financial modeling, analytical, and presentation skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, particularly in senior-level client interactions. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with high energy, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for digital entertainment and emerging technologies. A Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field is required, and an MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
