Job Title : Warehouse Attendant
Classification : Non-exempt
Reports to : Warehouse Manager
Supervision : No supervisory responsibilities
Salary Range : $17.00-$19.00/depending on experience
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouse duties, including shipping and receiving, unloading and loading trucks, fulfilling purchase orders, keeping warehouse stocked with essential equipment, and staging equipment for projects as required.
Essential Functions

1. Receives trucks and unloads merchandise.
2. Stacks merchandise on racks in designated area.
3. Checks in merchandise and label per project.
4. Matches purchase orders to sales orders and stages accordingly.
5. Moves materials and securely packages materials for shipment if needed.
6. Records amounts of materials or items received.
7. Carries out tasks as assigned by the warehouse supervisor/manager.
8. Identifies damaged, lost, or surplus of goods and materials stored in the warehouse.
9. Maintains records of all activities and processes pertaining to the storehouse.
10. Follows all safety codes.
11. Receiving and office areas to be clear at all times.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a warehouse type environment.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
1. Must be able lift up to 50 lbs.
2. Must be able to push/pull up to 100 lbs.
3. Must be able to stand for long periods of time throughout the day.
4. Must be able to reach/grab/bend/stoop/climb/walk regularly on a daily basis.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours.
Required Education and Experience
1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
2. 1 - 2 years’ warehouse/receiving experience.
3. Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office.
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Forklift experience
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
1. Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
2. Must have valid Tennessee driver’s license.
3. Ability to listen and communicate (written and verbal) effectively.
4. Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction.
5. Ability to protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
6. Must be dependable and have good attendance.
