Position Summary

This is a 3D Modeler (Gaming) position at the TPO-STE Combined Arms Technical Innovation Facility, National Simulation Center, Fort Leavenworth, KS in support of the National Simulation Center (NSC) Support Operations (SO) task order under MTCCS II IDIQ.

The selected candidate will work at on site at the National Simulation Center on Fort Leavenworth. The person in this role will work as a part of a team developing 3D models and software in support of Army training initiatives.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze source information to build 3D models per given specifications using Government provided software.
• Produce models that include but are not limited to visual components and scripted functionality to commercial industry standard.
• Use various platforms to include but not limited to Synthetic Training Environment product line accepted software, Autodesk 3D Studio Max, Maya, Substance Painter, Quixel Suite, and Marmoset Toolbag.
• This position typically does not require travel.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (associated discipline)
• At least 2 years of experience in game design and development, 3D model development, and 3D programming by integrating 3D Models into game-based synthetic environments within the current gaming suite of tools.
• Knowledge and understanding in the production and editing of game-based terrain databases from real terrain source databases; assist in integration efforts of game-based products to current Army simulation.
• Knowledge and understanding utilizing electronic file formats to include but not limited to Virtual Battlespace 3 (VBS3). p3d, .obj, .fbx, and .x3d electronic file formats.
• United States Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
