Job Responsibilities

This is a full- time on site position, for Merck North American sites.
  • Logistics Data Support Team leadership:
    • Oversight of the logistics data team responsible for documenting new and updating existing process work flowsworkflows, supporting process improvement initiatives and improving and maintaining data quality. Specific team responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
      • Asset onboarding data quality control and oversight
      • Streamline data analysis and processing to enterprise databases
      • Ensure continued alignment and updates with global standards and data governance
      • Identification and maintenance of source data disconnects and quality
      • LAMP Program inventory analysis and Maintenance
      • Data process documentation creation and maintenance
  • Lead a team of on-account resources focusing on continuous improvement and optimizationand optimization
  • Support and assist in the preparation of monthly or quarterly meetings with the customer as well as the broader PerkinElmer team Assist in preparation of and support the broader team with monthly or quarterly Meetings with the customer and global PerkinElmer team.
  • Manage action items resulting from business reviews and operational forums.
  • Escalate performance issues and help needed requests for support to PerkinElmer senior leadership or to the customer, as appropriate.
  • Establish and lead regularly- scheduled meetings with internal back-office functions at PerkinElmer to manage the program data, ; ensuring the account team is properly supported with logistics data related processes and deliverables.
  • Partner with field team in identifying and leading continuous improvement of operational performance and processes.
  • Create and maintain a culture for the Logistics Data Team that is built on honesty, hard work, commitment to the customer, and growing the business by executing the businessnew initiatives.
  • Support and coordinate activities for rolling inventory schedules, process improvements, and general data support.
  • Ensure consistency, where applicable, of PerkinElmer processes and best practices across all global sites.
  • Provide support to the field leadership to develop and deliver the operational performance reviews.
  • Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment.
  • Domestic travel as required, likely 25% - 30%. Day- to- day regional travel to the customer sites.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 3 or more years Program/Project Management Experience OR
  • Associate's degree with 5 or more years Program/Project Management Experience OR
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with Project Management Certification and 5 or more years Program/Project Management Experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a science-based industry
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.
Working Environment:
  • Must be able to work in a laboratory, controlled environments requiring personal protective equipment (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses, etc.) in laboratory.
  • Job pace may be fast and job completion demands may be high.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 25% of the time
  • The person needs to occasionally move between labs, corridors, adjoining rooms, and buildings onsite Frequently operate on instruments, objects, tools or controls, which will require regularly bending, squatting, stretching and reaching in order to perform in a service function.
  • Occasionally move or lift up to 25 pounds (potential for occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds).
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include without limitation, the ability to observe details at close range distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus in order to perform the essential service functions of this position.
  • Occasionally operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Employee may be required to handle hazardous waste according to local, state, and federal regulations. Duties may include identifying, handling, generating, accumulating, storing and labeling hazardous waste.
  • Potential risk to lab-based hazards including but not limited to extreme temperature, biological materials, and hazardous chemicals.
  • May be required to complete Medical Clearance, Respiratory Protection Training, and Fit Testing to wear a respirator as protection against hazards present in the laboratory environment.

The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $112,320.00 to $168,480.00. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
