About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Research and Data Officer to lead the charge in promoting evidence-based decision-making and a culture of data-informed governance. The successful candidate will be responsible for spearheading the use of data, research, and analytics to enhance the quality of life for residents and optimize government operations. This pivotal role involves leading and expanding a team of data scientists, researchers, analysts, and project managers, as well as driving performance improvements through the design and implementation of comprehensive research projects. The Chief Research and Data Officer will also be tasked with enhancing data and research infrastructure, fostering a culture of evidence-based decision-making, and ensuring ethical and responsible data use. Applicants for the Chief Research and Data Officer position at the company should have a minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in research, data analytics, or related fields, with a preference for those with a background in government or urban contexts. A Ph.D. in a relevant field is also preferred. The role requires a strong understanding of public policy and urban governance challenges, as well as a proven track record in translating complex research into actionable policy recommendations. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and leading interdisciplinary teams, excellent communication skills, and a strong network within the research community. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite is necessary, and the ability to exercise good judgment and attention to detail is essential.
