Construction Project Manager (Mid to Senior Level)

We’re looking for a skilled and driven Project Manager to join a reputable construction firm with a strong presence in the Kansas City market. This person will take full ownership of projects from kickoff through closeout, managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships to deliver high-quality results, on time and on budget.

Ideal candidates bring a track record of managing complex builds, leading field and office teams, and solving problems before they impact the schedule or client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of assigned construction projects from preconstruction through punch list
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and work plans
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to align expectations and resolve issues
• Lead weekly jobsite meetings and manage day-to-day field operations in partnership with the Superintendent
• Track project costs, issue change orders, and monitor billing and subcontractor payments
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, codes, and quality expectations
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Manage closeout processes, including punch lists, documentation, and turnover

Qualifications:

• 5–10+ years of experience in construction project management (GC or subcontractor experience welcome)
• Proven experience managing ground-up, renovation, or capital improvement projects in the $1M–$50M+ range
• Proficient with construction management platforms (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Buildertrend, etc.)
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, contracts, and schedules
• Financial acumen related to job costing, billing, and forecasting
• Strong leadership and communication skill, able to lead cross-functional teams and build lasting client relationships
• Located in Kansas City or open to relocation
