Job Description The Deputy Chief Nursing Officer directs the overall planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of all activities that enable staff to function competently in achieving patient/family outcomes as members of interdisciplinary teams as well as maintaining pace with the evolution of health care knowledge and practice.The Deputy Chief Nursing Officer directs the overall planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of all activities that enable staff to function competently in achieving patient/family outcomes as members of interdisciplinary teams as well as maintaining pace with the evolution of health care knowledge and practice. This role is accountable for the effective orientation of staff to the mission, vision and goals of Bellevue Hospital Center and the Department of Nursing/Patient Care Services. She/he assures the communication and understanding of the American Nurses Association Standards of Clinical Practice, Joint Commission of the Accreditation of Health Organization Standards, Patient Bill of Rights, Patient Centered Principles and Bellevue Hospital Center Policies and Procedures and their application in practice and care delivery.
