Job Title: Extruder Operator – Foam Industry

Location: Hickory, NC

Position Type: Full-Time

Shift: Second and Third Shift (1st: 6AM to 3:00PM; 2nd 2PM to 11:00PM; 3rd:11 PM to 7 AM)

Pay: $19 per hour

Job Description:

Step into the exciting role of Extruder Operator, where your skills will be key to crafting top-notch foam products. You’ll operate and fine-tune our cutting-edge machinery, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Your role is crucial in maintaining the high standards we’re known for, and you'll be right in the heart of our production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor our state-of-the-art extruder machinery to create exceptional foam products.
• Perform hands-on inspections and maintenance to keep everything running like a well-oiled machine.
• Adjust machine settings to match production needs and material specs.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure our products shine in the industry.
• Troubleshoot and solve any minor mechanical issues, reporting major ones for quick fixes.
• Keep precise production records and stay on top of safety protocols to maintain a top-notch working environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bring at least 2 years of extrusion experience to the table. Bonus points if you have experience with LDPE foam!
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for perfection are must-haves.
• Strong math and communication skills to help you shine in this role.
• Basic computer skills and excellent time management are essential.
• Ability to read and interpret product drawings (spec sheets) and digital calipers.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts when needed.
• Comfort working in an exciting, fast-paced plant environment where temperatures and conditions can vary.
