Job Description

Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday*
*including weekends and holidays, as needed

Momentum  is hiring a Fleet Driver/Transporter for our greater Los Angeles area, including the San Fernando Valley and Thousand Oaks. As the Fleet Driver/Transporter, you will be responsible for providing transportation to people supported at Momentum, the upkeep of company vehicles, vehicle inspections and safety checks. The Fleet Driver/Transporter will be the main source of transportation for Momentum's people supported to and from day programs, appointments, and community outings.

Fleet Driver/Transporter Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensures safe operation of the residential transportation vehicles
  • Ensures the safe and timely pick up and drop off of people supported and staff
  • Safely operates vehicles on surface streets, freeways, highways, and interstates in compliance with DMV and Highway Patrol protocols
  • Operates vehicle lift for people supported in a safe manner and ensures wheelchairs are secured properly
  • Follows transportation schedule
  • Provides direct & personal care to people supported
  • Keeps van interior/exterior neat and clean 
  • Completes and maintains required vehicle documentation
  • Follows company policies regarding safe and proper use of lift and transfer of persons supported
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs

Fleet Driver/Transporter Qualifications: 

  • Must be over the age of 18
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; required 
  • Current California Driver License; required 
  • Current and valid proof of automobile insurance; required 
  • Minimum of three (3) years of related experience; required 
  • Clean driving record with DMV driver's record printout; required 
  • Communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with others
  • Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, health screening, TB screening and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds
