NOW HIRING Forklift in Training Operator1st Shift Earn $16.00/ hour + Benefits Hours: Monday - Friday 6:45am - 3:15pm (fulltime) + overtime

Shoe Carnival, Inc. offers a captivating role for stand-up forklift operators or those willing to get certified, with a competitive starting pay of $16.00/hour.
This four-week training program teaches you how to safely drive a stand-up Reach Truck or Order picker to locate, pull and stock merchandise. Upon certification, receive $17.00/hour.
Reach Truck Operator:
- Locates pallets of merchandise in push-back racks and delivers pallets to Shipping department.
- Retrieves pallets of merchandise from Shipping department and stocks merchandise in push-back racks.
- Uses hand-held scanner to accurately locate and stock merchandise.
Order Picker Operator:
- Locates cases of merchandise in high-bay racks and quick-pick racks and manually places product on conveyor.
- Manually retrieves cases of merchandise from Reserve Storage department and stocks cases in high-bay racks and quick-pick racks.
- Uses hand-held scanner to accurately locate and stock merchandise.
This position may fill in on Shipping/Receiving occasionally:
- Loads and unloads merchandise from a conveyor onto semi-trailer for shipment.
- Sorts and stacks cases onto pallets or conveyor by reading case labels.
Regardless of your experience level, please be sure that you meet the following
minimum requirements prior to starting your application:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work overtime including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous warehouse and/or forklift experience preferred.
- Ability to complete on-site forklift operator certification - Instructor-led and direct forklift operator training provided.
- Must be able to work at lofty heights to obtain merchandise.
- Must be able to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull and handle products up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 30 pounds continuously with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment.
