Rosenberg's Bagels and Delicatessen is an award-winning authentic bagel store that specializes in the best New York City-style bagels outside of the Tri-State area. What differentiates Rosenberg’s from other bagel shops is its process, which marries age-old techniques with a proprietary technology that replicates New York City’s water and its ideal mineral levels. This results in the perfect bagel – crispy and chewy on the outside and perfectly levened on the inside – delicious on its own and the perfect canvas for a simple schmear or an elaborate sandwich. The delicatessen also boasts house-cured and smoked fish and deli meats; authentic Jewish foods like matzo ball soup and an assortment of freshly baked breads and pastries, including challah, rye breads, babka, and rugelach.

We are seeking a talented Team Member: FOH/Cashier/Barista to join our dynamic team in our open kitchen. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be expected to engage with our customers, answer their questions about the food, provide samples, take orders and deliver food to customers. This position requires someone who is skilled in customer service, with a strong desire to create an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Pay & Benefits:

• $15.27 /hr + tips (avg $7-10/hr in tips, based on past year)

Responsibilities & Duties:

Customer Engagement-

• Greets guest and handle transactions
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere
• Actively answer customer questions about the food, ingredients, and cooking techniques, providing detailed and accurate information
• Offer samples of dishes to customers, showcasing the quality and flavors of our cuisine
• Assist customers in placing their orders, recommending menu items based on their preferences
• Serve the dining area and distribute online orders
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers have a memorable dining experience
• Balance and organize the cash register
• Handle transactions quickly and efficiently while engaging with the customer

Culinary Expertise-

• Assist with daily functions in the kitchen and dining room and maintain an organized, clean area during down time
• Prepare delicious specialty coffee and espresso beverages
• Samples guests on food

Qualifications & Skills:

• Reliable and punctual for early morning shifts
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Maintain a positive attitude and smile even under pressure
• Proficient multitasker with an attention to detail.
• Team Player
• Collaborate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
• Initiative to take on additional job responsibilities as needed

Preferences:

• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
• Ability to work weekends
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
