Corporate Strategy Analyst Intern

The Hanover's Internship Program provides college students with the opportunity to work on critical business assignments, test your skills, use your academic knowledge, and match your interests to a real job. Through the 10-week summer program (June mid August), you will:

  • Take on meaningful projects and work alongside some of the best talent in the industry
  • Be supported and mentored by a community of exceptional talent (leaders, managers, subject matter experts and recent graduates)
  • Participate in a cross-functional team building project focused on corporate philanthropy
  • Attend weekly development workshops with your intern peers
  • Join in engagement and social activities with other interns

Our Corporate Strategy team is seeking exceptional college students for our Summer Internship Program, which provides meaningful opportunities for personal and professional growth, as well as rewarding career path options. The Corporate Strategy group is responsible for developing and advancing strategies to achieve the company's long-term vision. We also provide analysis of industry and societal trends and the competitive environment, lead strategy projects and develop market and business insights in support of businesses across The Hanover Insurance Group. The Corporate Strategy Analyst Intern is an integral member of the group, performing research and analysis, serving on project teams and supporting development of presentations and white papers.

In this role, you will:

  • Work as part of the Corporate Strategy team in developing strategic plans and executing special projects. Participate in meetings and workshops
  • Research insurance industry trends and innovations using public and internal resources
  • Conduct financial and market analysis
  • Develop presentations in PowerPoint
  • Learn strategy best practices and methodologies
  • Create and present a final presentation for management and leadership members at the close of the internship program highlighting the work you accomplished throughout the summer

What you need to apply:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
  • Ability to commit to a full time 10-week internship program
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
  • 0-2 years of professional working experience
  • MBA student or Masters, Bachelors program with business, marketing or quantitative major preferred
  • Curiosity and passion for learning
  • Problem-solving, critical thinking and communications skills
  • Collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Compensation: The target hiring range for this role may vary based on geographic location and other factors, including merit or performance, demonstrated proficiency, skills for the role, education, travel requirements, and experience. Additional compensation may include an annual bonus (which could take the form of a general bonus, sales incentive, or short-term incentive), long-term incentive or spot recognition awards. The posted range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience.
