Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Job Code: 24652 Job Location: San Diego, CA Job Schedule: 9/80 Job Description: Assemble hardware of SCNC products using crimping tools, torque drivers, soldering iron, hotplate and work under Microscope. Position requires the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with focus on quality and attention to detail.
Essential Functions: \n - Ability to read assembly drawings, BOM, wire list, engineering change orders, rework instructions, and process control instructions
\n - Fully proficient individual contributor. Works under limited supervision. May be a resource to other employees in areas of expertise. Assignments are moderately difficult requiring some judgment.
\n - Mechanical assembly using crimping tool, hot plate and torque drivers.
\n - Able to lift minimum of 35 lbs.
\n - Able to work on ladder, crane and scaffolding.
\n - Able to work under Microscope.
\n - Basic hand soldering of SMT, through-hole, and wiring.
\n - Good communication skills, both oral and written.
\n - High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
\n - Plan and execute work schedules in conjunction with hardware schedule requirements
\n - Responsible for the manufacturing of all hardware on one or more product lines.
\n - Preference will be given to candidates who are certified in J-STD-001 Class 3

Qualifications: - Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post- Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
\n
Preferred Additional Skills: \n - Minimum of 4 years of mechanical assembly. Familiar with wiring, harness assembly, and coax cable assembly.
\n - Ability to read documentation, drawings, and process control instructions.
\n - Basic soldering skills.
\n - Familiarity with basic computer skill (Windows/excel)

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $18.50/hr- $34.37/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
