Job Title: Industrial Painter $18.70-20.25/hour 1st shift (Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-3:30pm, OT on Friday as needed)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, ensuring high-quality paint application and adherence to production requirements.

Essential Skills

• Full functional knowledge of door types, colors, stamping patterns, and textures.
• Expertise in quality inspection before painting and specialized preparation techniques.
• High accuracy in labeling and attention to detail in paint application.
• Ability to read run sheets and operate relevant machinery.
• Proficiency in paint mixology and basic maintenance of paint machinery.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in a painting booth with paint mixology and machinery maintenance.
• Certification in various paint types, primers, and specific measurement skills, renewed annually.
• Basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and computer skills, including MS Office.

Work Environment

The work environment requires the use of PPE, including steel-toed safety shoes, gloves, a full paint suit, and a respirator during shifts of 9 to 12 hours. The role involves standing, walking, lifting, and carrying tasks, with a maximum individual lifting limit of 45 lbs. Pushing and pulling carts are frequent, with appropriate safety training provided. The position is ideal for those who can safely handle physical tasks and enjoy working in a dynamic setting.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lawrence, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38896.00 - $38896.00/yr.

Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays from day one, tuition reimbursement, and a 401k plan (with an automatic 3% company contribution, regardless of your contribution after your first year of employment) among others.
