Work involves extensive communication across the City's departments and with homeowners and related professionals.
The Plans Examiner I is the entry-level classification of the job series. The Examiner I is distinguished from the Examiner II by performing work under supervision of department staff. The work of the Examiner I is more routine and requires limited knowledge, focusing exclusively on residential construction.
