Job Title: Powder Coat Painter
Job Description

As a Powder Coat Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for coating using techniques such as sandblasting, degreasing, and solvent cleaning. You will apply powder coatings using spray guns and monitor oven temperatures to adjust curing processes for optimal results. Your role will include inspecting finished products to ensure adherence to quality standards and performing daily maintenance on spray equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for coating using sandblasting, degreasing, and solvent cleaning.
• Apply powder coatings evenly across surfaces using spray guns.
• Monitor oven temperatures and adjust curing processes to ensure proper bonding and durability.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet customer specifications.
• Mix powder coat and paint.
• Perform daily maintenance on spray equipment.

• Experience in powder coating and industrial painting.
• Proficiency in using spray guns and mixing paints.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of paint preparation and application techniques.
• Experience with sandblasting and cleaning metal components.

• Experience in a production environment.
• Familiarity with operating in a paint booth.
• Understanding of coating and spray painting processes.

Work Environment

The work environment is climate-controlled, ensuring a comfortable setting for all employees. The working hours are from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenville, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
