The Principal Scrum Master leads and facilitates multiple Agile teams by implementing Scrum and Lean-Agile frameworks to optimize productivity and deliverables. This role involves coaching teams, managing impediments, facilitating Scrum events, and acting as a change agent to align business objectives with Agile principles. The position requires expertise in Agile methodologies, team dynamics, and strong communication to ensure successful execution of complex projects.

Principal Scrum Master

Keurig Dr Pepper is seeking a Principal Scrum Master who serves as a Lean-Agile leader. The Principal Scum Master builds high performing teams, applies and facilitates team events, processes, and best practices, to help the organization achieve specific outcomes.

As a Principal Scrum Master, you will…
• Lead the implementation of the Scrum framework for complex to highly complex assignments.
• Create and guide several self-managing teams through a compelling vision, active facilitation, and powerful coaching.
• Facilitate and improve value of various scrum events (e.g., daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning meetings, sprint review meetings, sprint retrospective meetings).
• Identify and manage impediments that prevent a team from producing valuable output.
• Protect the team from distractions and hold the team accountable for work.
• Measure and optimize flow, i.e., WIP limits.
• Support PI planning, and the alignment of PI Objectives.
• Act as a change agent (including helping the business adapt to agile principles).
• Adapt process guidelines to maximize productivity.
• Establish the team Kanban board.
• Ensure efficient communication between the Scrum Team, Product Owner/Manager, and other stakeholders.

Who you are:
• Deep knowledge of test automation methods and concepts.
• Deep knowledge of the principles and methods to identify, analyze, specify, design, and manage functional and infrastructure requirements.
• Expert knowledge of product life cycle, including software development methodologies (SAFe) design and implementation.
• Expert knowledge of Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban, and other Agile development techniques.
• Expert knowledge of agile principles across project management, Scrum, product management, etc.
• Leading skills in release and deployment management, and agile estimation and planning.
• Expert ability to train, coach and mentor the team.
• Expert ability to build strong team dynamics and team spirit to sustain cooperative working relationships.
• Proven ability to vary styles of interaction to match the needs of a variety of business and technical audiences.
• Expert ability to make sound, well-informed, and objective decisions; perceives the impact and implications of decisions.
• Expert ability to resolve conflict by effectively dealing with disagreements and handling emotionally charged individuals.
• Expert ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives.
• Proven ability to continuously improve by learning new tools and techniques and finding new ways to accomplish work activities and objectives.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in related field (e.g., Information Systems, Technology, Business Administration, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Typically, 5+ of relevant experience with Scrum methodologies. This usually includes at least 3 years serving in an informal scrum master role.
• Experience working in an Agile environment, with product methodologies, estimation methodologies and scope management.

• Ability to travel up to 25% nationally
Licenses and Certifications Required:
• Certified Scrum Professional, Scrum Master or SAFe certification.
