Job Description CrossBoundary is recruiting a full-time Senior Manger to be a key leader in managing select global/regional programs and framework contracts, expand presence and market share with public and private sector clients, and support the management of our advisory practice's various strategic initiatives and organic growth opportunities.
The Senior Manager will oversee the implementation of a series of global umbrella contracts and support advisory teams to secure opportunities under these contracts. This includes maintaining relationships with bilateral donors and key stakeholders, tracking opportunities, and sharing best practices and lessons learned with advisory teams with the ultimate goal of unlocking the maximum number of opportunities under these contracts.
The Senior Manager will also support advisory teams to track, pursue, and secure growth opportunities with a wide range of clients. This will include building and maintaining relationships with key public and private clients including with USAID, DFC, and key foundations (for example). They will engage in strategic outreach to prominent prime and niche implementers in our markets and share procurement opportunities with advisory team members. The Senior Manager will also contribute to strategic proposal efforts, gather data on past proposal efforts and disseminate learnings, and ensure advisory teams are aware of funding trends and intel. This may include reviewing proposals, directly contributing to proposals with new clients, and assisting teams with creating tailored marketing materials and past performance information for specific opportunities in new markets or with new clients.
The Senior Manager will also work with senior advisory leadership to oversee the firms various strategic initiatives and new lines of business. This will include managing monthly check-in meetings, collecting and disseminating recent successes and lessons learned, developing marketing materials as needed, and tracking performance against annual targets.
The successful candidate brings a working understanding and experience navigating donor procurement processes and is well-versed in donor regulations and contracting processes. They will also have a successful track record in business development, experience managing donor-funded programs, and have a proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. The Senior Manager will report to the Head of Corporate Development and be supported by the larger Corporate Development Team.

Required Qualifications: - At least five years' experience in program management, business development, and/or investment advisory work
- Experience with U.S. government agency procurement processes, particularly USAID and/or DFC
- Basic exposure to a variety of international donors and clients preferred
- Passion and experience working on private-sector development and blended finance initiatives
- Understanding of government contracting instruments, requirements, and regulations
- Skilled networker with the ability to create new and sustain existing relationships
- Strong writer with a clear, active, and direct writing style
- Detail-oriented person with high standards for visually appealing output
- Extensive experience in MS Suite
- Ability to manage multiple internal and external deadlines
- Passion for supporting other team members to realize their goals
Primary Responsibilities Global/Regional Program Management: - Manage global, regional, and multi-country contracts including maintaining relationships with key partners and clients and working with teams within CrossBoundary to identify new opportunities under the respective contracts
- Complete contract and key document reviews for advisory teams, as needed
- Provide on-demand contractual knowledge and expertise
- Provide ad hoc support to global advisory teams on ongoing programs, as needed
Business Development: - Build/maintain relationships and identify opportunities to capture work with international donors, Development Finance Institutions, Foundations and private sector clients
- Support advisory teams to submit competitive technical and commercial proposals for strategic opportunities including reviewing proposals for quality, clarity, and compliance and providing strategic inputs as needed
- Support the development and submission of global and/or regional bids as needed
- Build internal capacity on the international donor market and how to effectively compete for opportunities with new clients
- Participate in external conferences, meetings, and networking events to build and maintain key partner relationships
- Develop and/or update marketing materials and qualifications documents aligned with specific procurement opportunities
- Analyze data that can be used to improve future business development efforts
- Lead market and/or competitor assessments to identify unique or strategic market opportunities for advisory teams to capture
Strategic Initiatives & Ad Hoc Support: - Provide strategic oversight for the advisory practices' various strategic initiatives including tracking progress against targets, compiling recent successes, and analyzing the medium to long term viability of specific initiatives
- Identify new organic growth opportunities in partnership with advisory leadership
- Support the Corporate Development team meet the demand-driven needs of advisory teams across the globe
