Senior Project Manager – Government Projects

Blayze Recruitment have partnered with an established and growing General Contractor who are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team, specializing in government construction projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a proven track record of managing large-scale, complex projects within the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee multiple government construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Manage project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and clients, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues as they arise.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with government regulations and industry best practices.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports, including updates on progress, risks, and issues.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing government construction projects is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of government contracts, procurement processes, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in project management software and tools.
