Position Overview

We are seeking an Environmental Engineer or Geologist and experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee environmental consulting projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a passion for mentoring others. This role involves managing multidisciplinary teams, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring project delivery meets both technical and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage environmental investigation and remediation projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals with a focus on profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accountability for all technical, administrative, and financial aspects of assigned projects.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders to provide updates and ensure alignment.
  • Oversee and mentor project staff, fostering professional development and adherence to company standards.
  • Implement health and safety protocols and ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations.
  • Review and approve technical deliverables, including reports, work plans, and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to support business development and strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in environmental engineering, geology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in environmental consulting focused on investigation and remediation.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state environmental regulations.
  • Professional certification (e.g., PE, LPG, CHMM) is preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification with annual refresher.
