Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity seeks dedicated special education professionals to support a K-12 school in Wilmington, VT, for the current school year on a contract basis. Candidates will contribute to an inclusive educational environment, serving diverse student needs in middle and elementary school settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support for students with disabilities, tailored to individual IEP goals.
  • Collaborate closely with school staff, families, and related service providers to enhance student success.
  • Manage caseloads effectively, including documentation and progress monitoring.
  • Participate in remote interviews and onboarding processes as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Vermont Special Education license preferred; provisional licensing options may be available.
  • Experience teaching special education students, particularly in middle or elementary grades.
  • Ability to serve either as a Middle School Special Education teacher or Hybrid Case Manager with an elementary caseload.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to engage in district-specific training and onboarding requirements.

Position Details:

  • Location: Wilmington, Vermont
  • Work hours: 37.5 per week
  • Duration: Immediate start through the end of the current school year
  • Caseload management within one school
