Travel Chaplain Inpatient Palliative Care (13 Weeks) in Redwood City, CA

We have a unique opportunity for a passionate Chaplain to join our Inpatient Palliative Care team in Redwood City, CA, for a 13-week travel contract. This position is ideal for a spiritual care professional dedicated to providing emotional and spiritual support to patients, families, and staff in a hospital setting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide spiritual support and counseling to patients, families, and staff
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to meet patient needs
  • Document all interactions and interventions in the patient care record
  • Participate in Medical Center mittees and ensure accreditation pliance
  • Conduct in-service sessions and engage in professional growth opportunities
  • Coordinate and supervise lay volunteers, chaplain interns, and interfaith chaplaincy programs
  • Serve as a liaison between the Medical Center and local congregations or religious institutions

Qualifications:

  • Graduate theological degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
  • pletion of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
  • Ordained or endorsed for healthcare chaplaincy by a recognized religious/spiritual body
  • Experience in providing spiritual care in a healthcare setting
