DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? The ideal candidate will develop and administer analytic tools used to optimize SCM related activities, to include freight cost/recovery management, asset management, capacity planning, network optimization and inventory deployment. The External Logistics Analyst will analyze data outputs to formulate conclusions, and present findings and recommendations to Management to support SCM business decisions to achieve the business goals for AM/NS Calvert.
The Basics: - Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or combination of education and related work experience
- 2 years' minimum Analytics and/or Supply Chain Management (SCM) experience such as planning, implementation and analysis of SCM related activities (such as transportation/distribution management, network optimization and inventory management)
- Proficiency in MS Office products and analytical tools

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING - Gathers and analyzes data required to support Supply Chain Management related projects involving transportation costs, asset utilization, freight recovery, and optimizing freight movements at lowest cost
- Analyzes SCM business activities to determine best strategic plan (activities include distribution network optimization and inventory deployment)
- Presents findings and recommendations to management
- Develops and administers analytic tools to minimize total supply chain costs
- Facilitates continuous improvement initiatives to improve overall SCM performance
- Works closely with Information Technology (IT) to ensure system execution meets SCM business requirements
- Provides input and support within contract negotiations with external service providers

- Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
- Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
