Comprehensive Rehab Consultants (CRC) specializes in hospital-level specialty care delivered in SNFs, focusing on Geriatric Psychiatry and behavioral health. As a CRC NP/PA, you will work closely with facility teams—including psychiatrists, primary care providers, and nursing staff—to provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and emotional support to post-acute and long-term care patients.

This role is ideal for a clinician seeking a part-time schedule with consistent hours and a strong interdisciplinary support system.

Position Information: Located in Houston, TX. This is a 8-hour, part-time W2 role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including mental status exams and behavioral assessments
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications using Medicare-compliant strategies (e.g., gradual dose reductions)
• Reduce unnecessary polypharmacy where appropriate
• Integrate psychotherapy when clinically indicated
• Collaborate with psychiatry, primary care, therapy, and nursing teams to improve patient outcomes
• Document all clinical encounters and maintain compliance with facility and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner (NP, APRN, PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Texas license (or ability to obtain)
• Previous psychiatric experience, preferably with geriatric patients
• Ability to work in the U.S.
• Experience in post-acute space preferred
• A great attitude and desire to deliver the best patient care

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Starting at $75.00/hour.

Schedule :

• 8-hour shift with flexibility, though hours should hover around 9 AM – 4 PM
• Specific days are flexible (must be a weekday- Monday – Friday)
