VocoVision is seeking a skilled Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to work with students across the state of Alabama through our innovative teletherapy platform. Job Responsibilities

• Provide tailored instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a virtual classroom environment
• Adapt lesson plans to meet individual IEP goals and student learning needs
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and support teams to ensure the success of each student
• Offer guidance on the use of hearing devices such as hearing aids and cochlear implants
• Track and report on student progress through regular assessments and feedback

Job Details

• Contract: 1099 independent contractor (self-employed)
• Work Hours: Flexible, aligned with school hours and student schedules
• Location: Fully remote; work from anywhere with reliable internet
• Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, based on experience and qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Deaf Education or a related field
• Active state certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
• Experience in school settings, with a focus on working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Familiarity with assistive technology and hearing devices
• Strong communication skills and comfort using online teaching platforms
• Reliable internet connection and computer with video conferencing capabilities
