Position Overview

The Head of Engineering & Infrastructure will be responsible for architecting, leading, and scaling the companys technology platform. Youll oversee development, infrastructure, security, and complianceensuring every system supports both speed and stability.

This is a handson, execution-focused leadership role for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong regulatory awareness and the ability to build high-performance teams in a startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the engineering and infrastructure teams, fostering accountability, innovation, and execution excellence.
• Transition smoothly by collaborating with the interim CTO to gain deep understanding of the current systems, processes, and architecture.
• Design and implement a scalable, secure technology infrastructure that supports product growth and operational expansion.
• Build out clear development and deployment processes that enhance delivery speed without compromising quality or compliance.
• Oversee all aspects of infrastructure managementcloud environments, integrations, DevOps, uptime, and incident response.
• Maintain strong alignment between engineering initiatives and business objectives.
• Develop measurable KPIs to track team performance, product stability, and delivery cadence.
• Lead security and data protection efforts, ensuring compliance with all relevant fintech regulations (SOC 2, PCI, ISO 27001, etc.).
• Partner cross-functionally to align technical initiatives with business development, product, and operations teams.
• Hire, develop, and, when necessary, make tough calls to preserve team excellence.
• Drive continuous improvement across development, QA, and infrastructure management.
• Stay ahead of evolving fintech technology and compliance trends to inform future growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience, including at least 5 in leadership roles overseeing technology infrastructure.
• Proven background in fintech , with deep understanding of security, compliance, and data protection frameworks.
• Handson expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) , architecture design, and scalability planning.
• Experience implementing systems for continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring.
• Demonstrated success building high-performing engineering teams in startup or high-growth environments.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills.

Must-Haves

• Fintech experience with proven track record in compliance and secure infrastructure.
• Handson leadership in development, DevOps, and scalability.
• Strong understanding of regulatory standards (SOC 2, PCI, ISO, GDPR).
• Ability to operate with speed, clarity, and accountability in a startup setting.
