Beyond joining a team, there are a lot of ways to serve our church and to serve others through our church.

S.E.R.V.E.

We think people have been created to do something...something specific. We want to help you figure out what you were made to do. This is why we created S.E.R.V.E.

The first part of the process is to attend a two day (five total hours) class that teaches:

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT MINISTRY

When you are finished with this section you will understand what it means to serve, the purpose of serving, and why you should serve.

THE PROCESS OF DISCOVERING HOW GOD HAS MADE YOU TO SERVE

Just knowing that you ought to serve isn’t good enough. The next step is understanding how you should serve. The second half of the class teaches a specific process for figuring out what God might be calling you to do.

The final portion of the S.E.R.V.E. process is to meet with an pastor of Creekside Bible Church. This meeting offers you and the pastor the opportunity to discuss how God might be calling you to serve. The point of the conversation is not that the pastor tells you what to do, but helps you think through the data that you have generated through the “servey.” It will also allow for you to hear of any ministry opportunities/needs that the church currently has (No worries, if none of these fit you, we will not try to get you to do them anyway!). When the meeting is over the pastor will either put you in contact with the proper ministry leader so that you can begin serving or, if no current ministry fits, continue to work with you to see what God might want to do with you in a future ministry.

WELCOME BOXES - IN PARTNERSHIP WITH EMBRACE OREGON

Welcome Boxes provide age appropriate items to occupy and comfort vulnerable children in a time of crisis. These boxes are given to children in the Tri-county area who are awaiting foster home placement, struggling with the disappointment of a birth parent not showing up, or being transferred from one foster home to another. Welcome boxes are a tangible act of love and we would love your help in providing them.

VILLEBOIS EVENTS

Our church is located in a large subdivision of Wilsonville called Villebois. One of the ways we serve this community is by providing volunteers for their holiday events: Easter Egg Hunt, 4th of July, Villeboo, and A Villebois Christmas.
